The Gospel of Jesus Christ
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth" (Genesis 1:1).
The gospel or good news begins with God, our Creator; He is One God revealed in Three Persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (John 1:1; Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19).
"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned" (Romans 5:12).
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
The first people, Adam and Eve, disobeyed God and brought sin into the world; the consequence for that disobedience was death, because we fail to meet God's standard. Death is both physical and spiritual, eternal separation from the love of God in the Lake of Fire (cf. Revelation 20:14-15).
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8).
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).
God's love for us determined to save us from our sin and its consequence; while we were yet sinners, God sent Jesus to die in payment for our sin.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved" (Romans 10:9).
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name" (John 1:12).
Yes, we deserve death for our sin (Romans 6:23), but God willingly paid for our sin in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Any who will believe in their heart this good news of Jesus Christ, God gives them the power to become His forgiven child, even to them that believe on the name of Jesus Christ.
